I want to make some sort of pirate style level, similar to something like Pirates of the Caribbean. Weapons would be along the lines of swords and daggers and occasional cannons. Props lying around would be stuff like barrels and chests and what not. As far as level environment, I could only find pictures from the lego version of a Pirates of the Caribbean game, but that's the type of environment I want to aim for, like a town/village from that type of era/setting.

Final Bedroom
So here's my final bedroom. I'm pretty proud of how it came out, though I wish I had more time to dedicate to making this truly as good as it can be. Having very little experience with Maya and 3D modeling though, I'm pretty impressed with the final product as it is way better than I thought it would be going into the project, though like I said, I still feel that I could make it even better and aim to do better with the next assignment.

Bedroom Progress (Lighting)
After applying materials to everything. I started to play with lighting.
This is what my room looks like rendered with minimal lighting settings. I still need to tweak it to get it up to as good as it can be, but this is where I'm at right now.

Bedroom Progress (Putting Materials on Everything)
The next step in creating my bedroom was to start putting materials on all of the parts of my room.
All of the materials I used were mia_material_x. I didn't really have a lot of time to make everything extremely complex so most of them were simply a matter of basically painting walls or other objects. Things like the tapestry on the wall, the carpet on the floor, and the bedsheets were made by importing images an applying the image to the material which was then applied to the object. I used photoshop to make sure that the images were the right size and would fit correctly on the object themselves.
